Considering Painting my Prelude...

Ok, so my Prelude has horrid "orange peel" all over it. It has no clear coat and the paint is starting to chip/flake/peel. It also has a lot of dings and dents down the sides, plus there are splotches of red that are different shades....

All I can say is I didn't paint it.

I am considering trying to sand it down prime, paint and clear coat.

Here's the catch, I'm considering doing it all with 8 oz. cans of Dupli-Color.

Yes, I know I'm cheap, but has anyone tried this? I mean based on product quality alone, is it possible to make it look good? Lastly how much primer, paint and clear, would I need?

Thanks...

just post up pictures before you start and as you progress.

Ask a body shop how much to smooth out the dents, and spray it a satin black.

Uh, so you are willing to color sand spray paint in attempts to make it look good?
