Bear with me while I explain this problem I having with my clutch/transmission.

Problem:

When I first start the car and get moving in the morning, it feels as though my car has wheel hop when I start off in first. I rev to about 1.5K and let out the clutch slowly, then the car shakes while it gets going in first gear. This also happens in second gear, but not as much. However, it only happens when the car has been sitting for a few hours. Once I start shifting during my drive, everything is back to normal. I thought it might be the clutch slipping so I performed the test where you drop it into 4th at low MPH to see if the revs bounce up. There is no slippage at all… I've got 88,000 miles. I replaced the clutch with an exedy organic and kept the stock flywheel.

So, what gives?

Maybe the flywheel needs to be resurfaced?
