Clutch Replacement

Im thinking of replacing the clutch myself here if a month or so and wanted to get an idea of what I'm getting myself into. Any other parts to consider replacing ohter than the clutch, release bearing and rear engine oil seal? How are the ball joints removed (radius rod to lower suspension arm), any special tools? Also never removed a driveshaft from the differential (base, 5spd) on a fron wheel drive.

Any help would be appreciated.

I like the stock way it shifts just fine. I never take it to the track or anything like that. What would be an advantage of a lighter flywheel?

1. I don't remember removing the ball joints but if you do need to, get a ball joint remove tool from local autostore and remember to buy a replacement just in case. Ball joints have known to blow even using the ball joint remover.

2. Other tools I can think off the top of my head: crank pulley tool, make sure you have more than a 5 point or 6 point socket for the flywheel since they are more points on the nuts.

3. No use in buying a lightened flywheel but its just one of those things where "you might as well when you're down there" it costs almost as much as oem spec'd flywheels. Almost no disadvantage to buying one. I wouldn't trust a remachining of the current flywheel either.

Don't you have to disconnect the lower part of the knuckle assy. (the part that holds the wheel bearing, disc) from the lower arm and radius rod to be able to disconnect the axles from the differential?

Is there another easier way to disconnect the differential from the axles?
