clutch pedal question

Hey. Recently, i went into my car and found that when i pushed the clutch pedal, there was very little tension until it was almost to the floor. In order to drive, i had to BARELY let of the clutch, becuase it was catching really early. The more I drove and pumped the pedal, the better it got. However now it still is not the same as it used to. There is still no tension on the pedal until about pushing it half-way in. By tension, I mean that i dont feel the clutch actually dis-engaging until i feel that tension. My clutch is a factory clutch. There seems to be no grinding, so i think it's just simply an issue with the pedal. Any ideas? Thanks.

EDIT: I guess it's kind of hard at times to get the shifter into gear. I have to force it sometime pretty hard, or maybe left off the clutch and push it back in and try again. Could this be maybe the tranny fluid? I changed it w/ redline several months back, but i thoguht you didn't have to change it for a long time.

ok so it turns out the clutch fluid was 90% empty. So i filled that sucker up, and it works jus like normal now! But im still wondering, it had to have leaked somewhere, but i dont know where...I'll keep an eye on the fluid level

Look around the slave cylinder and the master cylinder to see if fluid is leaking out. If it leaked out before it's going somewhere and it will probably leak again.
