Clear Tails, Non-Altezza? - Honda Prelude Forum

I'm trying to get a certain look and I need clear tails that aren't altezza's. Do they exist?

Something like these:

Anyone have anything like those?

Honestly, I hate altezzas and carbon fiber tails. I think the solid clear with color bulbs can look good if done right, but that's just me.

I remember back in 1998/1999, those were the hot thing were I lived. However, cops would pull you over for them because they didn't meet DOT standards. I guess taillights have to have to refelct red light from a certain distance or something â€“ I'm not terribly well versed on Wisconsin taillight law.

I think they do exist, but not a whole lot of places sell them anymore. I'd check eBay.

Be aware that they might not be legal in your area. Just a heads-up.

Definately true. Atleast according to the state i live in (nazi california). You are required to have a red and yellow reflector on either end of your car, at all times. This is simply for safety. I've noticed cops tend to care more about the rear than the front.

But you can use the rear clears, to paint them black with LED bulbs and you might get away with it. However, completely "clear"

they do exsist and they are cheaper than others. go to ebay and type in prelude tail lights
they are just plain clear.

get a clear, and customize it to your own taste.
only choice obviously, is smoke color/red color to paint your tails, but at least you'll have something different then all the other 5th gen ludes' rear.

They used to be on Ebay, but I just did a quick search and didn't see them. I don't know where else would have them.

Definitely not Mike D's car. He smoked the bottom half of the tails. And he's never had that rim/exhaust combo to my knowledge.

That is Dennis's lude from Houston (WWRS kit, rims, Apex N1, WW Whale Tail). I believe he dremeled the top out and painted the bottom red.
