How does one perform the simple maintenance of changing rear tail light bulbs? Why isn't there a write up pinned somewhere?

Isn't that covered in the manual? If not, I'm not trying to be an ass but you said it yourself, it's simple maintenance. Pop the clips, pull back the lining and you should free access from there.

I don't think it's covered in the owner's manual... However it is the helms.

There's a clip above the tail light, use a pen and push in the middle circle and pull it out. Pull out the trim and twist the bulb.
