CFFL projectors/HIDs/Lows/fogs

anyone have the CFFL projector lights ? i was thinking about getting 6000k lows and 3000k fogs, i think it would look pretty nice and a be a huge upgrade over the oem bulbs.

what are the bulb types for the fogs? i have them in a box but they arent installed on the car yet, which brand is just plug and play? ive read on here that i might need to get a new clip or bore out the plastic, im not trying to do either

Are you running HID's? Yes it will be a huge upgrade. I don't have CCFL projects but I do have retrofits and I'm running 6000k HID's and 2500k halogens and it looks amazing. If you run 3000k HID fog lights it won't be as yellow when you stare at it but it aims out looking yellow. Don't get eBay ballasts. Find some decent HID kits. DDM tuning has really good ones.

I don't find any point running HID fogs so I don't but I know people that do and it gives a bright output. Not sure what bulb size your CCFL's are but mine are D2S since they're from TSX. As for the fog lights, the direct fit is H3c or H3 and you won't need clips but you will need an adapter for H3 unless your running HID's, then you'll have to mount your ballast.

Here's a pic of my Prelude running 6000k HID and 2500k Nokya Halogens.

Here's my buddy's Civic running all HID's (Fogs, Low beam, High beam)

Spend the money on Morimoto projectors and do the retrofit yourself.

The cost is just your OEM headlamp plus the projector, wiring, shroud, and HID. It really varies and it takes a lot of effort and time to do it. If you give it to someone to do it, your looking at $600-$700.

With your current headlights it's a little under $200 for parts, if you follow my write-up on installing them.

It's $120 for the projectors, $40 for an HID kit from DDM tuning, and $20 in miscellaneous crap to get the job done. New headlights are about $180 on ebay (I recommend the black housing DEPO's), I would take like $100 labor, then finally shipping back to you assuming you'd have the headlights and everything shipped to me.

I'd do this for $500 shipped back to you in that case, if I were to have time to do this. Just to throw out a number.

This is what my retrofits look like. The only difference you might have is my headlamp are DEPO black housing. The Honda OEM's are chrome.
