CF Hood doesnt close!! - Honda Prelude Forum

My cf hood isnt hooking on the second latch. It latches fine on the first. Ive tried to move the latch up but it didnt help. The hook on the hood is pretty worn out, could this be the problem? how can i fix it?

replace hook or hood.

I'm guessing you just bought this cf hood second hand or for a god deal?

If you bought new, you could return because cf stuff doesn't always fit exactly right due to the way it's made. If you didn't, probably sol.

I have a VIS OEM CF hood and I had to slot the latch mounting holes just a bit to get the latch engaging properly. Easy job to do with a Dremel or even a file.

i have a seibon too, it took a while to make sure it was aligned right on both hinges but once it was it fit perfect so i'd say check that and make sure its not hitting anything
maybe its your latch that needs replacing, seibon is supposed to be higher quality than others so...
