CF Hood

Hey i just bought a Carbon Fiber hood and want to keep it in good shape, is there a special coating you put on there or do u have to wax it every week? what steps should i take towards keeping my Hood in Grade A shape????

Just wax it once a month. That would be fine. But you could wax it once a week. I wax every week myself.

How much did you get the cf hood for? Where? Any websites out there?

yeah...at Tysons corner right...i was thinking about getting the hood from them...is it good quality...hows the fitment?

fits perfect, and yes hood locks, it does the same thing as hood pins but it is a lock mechanism so no jackass will come by and just unhook your pins you need a small key to unlock these bad boys lol i'd recommend hook locks.

Its not really easy for me to put pictures on here but you can go to

go to accessories then scroll all the way down and get hood locks They are mainly used with cars that don't have the latch anymore, but i like it.

I have so clue buddy, i had VERTEX do it for me, plus i wouldn't want take the risk of messing up cutting into carbon fiber becuase i heard there is a special way of cutting CF hoods.
