Hey guys my car has been extra loud while i'm going from 0-20 or so mph so i took it to a local honda dealership and they inspected it. turns out i need to replace my cat converter and they quoted me some price of 1600 or something. my brother told me i could get a whole exhast system with a cat back and that should fix the problem? i'm not too sure just wanted to double check with you guys. thanks

yeah thats ridiculous.. im not sure about the cost of an oem cat but magnaflow or carsound sells their high flows for like 80 i think. check it out magnaflow.com... or if u want stock check out one of the many online honda factory parts distributors

Or check the limits on your emission warranty and make sure you are not covered.

I think they warantied all emission stuff...cat, distributor, plugs wires...till 100K.

I just called Honda yesterday and they quoted me $600 for a oem cat... lets just say that I am not going to go that route.
