Car noises and post-timing belt change: Thoughts?

Okay well first off, I've had this noise coming from my car for ..oh...the past 5 or so months. I thought it was the timing belt so I had the timing belt and water pump changed on monday (needed one anyway since I'm at about 93k miles). To much dismay, the sound is still there.

Description of sound: like a chirping/whistling sound.
Goes away when: I turn on the AC or after a long period of driving
Coming from: I'm thinking near the belts or somewhere near that vicinity

clip 1: i start the engine and the sound starts. After a few seconds, I turn the AC on and it goes away.

clip 1

clip 2: i tried to get a "better" location of where the sound is coming from

clip 2

Any thoughts?

VIDEOS SHOULD BE UP SHORTLY!

Another thing: I had the timing belt/water pump job done at John Eagle Honda. I took it home and nothing seemed weird. Then the dreaded CEL came on. I checked the code and it was spitting out 12. I know what it means but any other thoughts on why it would do that? Or should I take it back to the dealer?

^ Go back to the dealer before it goes beyond their warranty on service.

Video isn't up yet, but I'm guessing you have an accessory belt prob. or possibly an a/c clutch prob. Hard to say since I dont know what the sound is

it was pretty normal for that noise
when i got my timing belt changed, i had a whistling sound for a while
mabe for a few months, close to a year...
i had it checked out at the dealer, but they assured me it was ok, due to the autotensioner, that was the cause of the noise
so dont worry about it to much
do a search, this has been discussed alot before

That noise is definitely not what I heard when I changed my timing belt. Mine was more of a supercharger whine that increased with RPM's and wasn't even present at idle.

Sounds to me like either the power steering belt or AC/Alternator belt, and that explains why it slowly starts to go away as the belts either stretch out or warm up. If you know the belts are still in good condition, try adjusting the tension on them first and perhaps using some belt spray to clean/lubricate the side that touches the pulleys.

Mine always do the same thing. It was like that on my Miata, too. My Prelude came with a timing belt only 20k miles old and I could notice it slightly. The belt was worn due to other problems, got a new one installed, and the car is "supercharged" again. Especially high at 5k+rpm.

Could be your PS pulley. They have really bad circulation and mine stated making bad noises after it I got my Timing Belt done. Fixed it by having my mechaing rebuild it with new bearings and seals
