i'm going to get my 97 fix this friday for the ignition switch recall. my car has 65k miles and is this a good time to change the timing belt or do a valve adjustment? i can handle the fluids, just the internal parts, if any. tia.

i didn't know this.... no, i didn't get a letter. i just visited the american honda site and found about the recall. i'm just going in voluntarily. i'll give them a call and verify. thanx.......
They won't send you a letter untill they have the part in stock... Going befroe hand will prove fruitless. (unless you are currently having a problem that is)

i went to honda service center(scott robinson honda, torrance, ca) and talked to one of the reps there. he just asked me if my car is affected and how i got the information. i told him what's up and he said to bring it anytime. so i'll get this fix before problem arise.
