car going in for the recall

i'm going to get my 97 fix this friday for the ignition switch recall. my car has 65k miles and is this a good time to change the timing belt or do a valve adjustment? i can handle the fluids, just the internal parts, if any. tia.

Well, did you get your 60k service done, or is this it ?

Pretty sure valve adjustments are recommended every 15k.
Your timing belt is good to 105k

They won't send you a letter untill they have the part in stock... Going befroe hand will prove fruitless. (unless you are currently having a problem that is)

something to do with too much current going thru the switch, which wears is out.....this may cause the car to stall

i went to honda service center(scott robinson honda, torrance, ca) and talked to one of the reps there. he just asked me if my car is affected and how i got the information. i told him what's up and he said to bring it anytime. so i'll get this fix before problem arise.
