Car Dies Out: What Could It Be?

on sunday, my car would not start when trying to leave work. i opened the hood and noticed the connection to the positive connection on the battery was lose so i reconnected it as best I could. i attempted the drive home and it died out again as it became loose again. i finally got home and tighted the clamp so it would be impossible for it to become loose again. the next day, the car died out again, but not because of the battery because I could restart it immediately. everytime i would drive and let off on the gas and come to a stop, it would die out. i would start the car again and let it sit there for another 10 mins or so and then the car would be fine. i just dropped it off at the shop. any ideas what it could be? the battery is fairly new, maybe 1.5 years.

When you turn the key does it turn over? Do you get a spark?
It could be a few things. I would check you spark plugs make sure that they are all gapped to specs. I would also check your distributor and make sure that it's good. The last thing i would check would be your alternator...

Hope this helps. Best of luck!

BTW, have you taken it to a shop yet?
