i can't seem to be able to redline my car... when it reaches around 7000 rpm, and i don't shift, the car would just keep choking until i do....something wrong? or is the lude just too old .. its a 97 with 46k miles on it
he shouldn't be hitting the limiter at 7K, though. Redline is 7500, and my limiter kicks is just after that.
perhaps it is a warming up and oil issue.

yeah my car is always warmed up and the oil level is fine.. i just got a minor tune up also... how do you get rid of the rev limiter? .. the rpm also flicks from 6.5-7 for some reason.. it would stop at 6.5 and after a second or so it would flick to 7 and then choke
all right i guess it's my indiglos thats getting my gauge stuck... but how come i choke at 7 rpm? my oil level is fine... should i take it to a mechanic or dealer to check it out?
