If you have a helms book, can you please tell me where these are located

*IAC Valve
*Fast Idle Thermo Valve

Cause I'm throwing Idle Control System Malfunction code and I need to change them out. I have no idea what or where these are located

First, on a 97 you should not be having trouble with either of these.

Second... the IAC is located on the intake manifold just in front of the "PGM-FI" logo, and the thermo valve is located under the throttle body (actually bolted to it).

The ECU knows nothing about the thermo valve so you shouldn't have a problem there. The IAC is likely the culprit, they have been known to fail... but usually only after MANY more miles and years than what you likely have.

Any symptoms?

Well, its not the same motor that came with my car. I blew my last motor, and now I have a 99 SH motor and its throwing this code
