Can I use engine from 00 Accord in my 98 Prelude

Will an engine from a 2000 Accord work in my 98 Prelude (mine is not sh)?? Some say it will, some say it won't. My question 1. Does it physically fit and bolt right up?? 2. Do I have to change wire harness, or ecu or sensors?? 3. Are the heads the same?? Thanks!!

those accords came with 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder motors, which are you talking about...

both would fit, but the 4 cylinder from the accord is worthless IMO.

there is wiring harness obd2a -> obd2b

dude, you have made 3 topics about your engine problem!!

you can put accords euro R engine there, many people have done that...
its not that hard to see what differences there is. Ive already posted that engine wikipedia list. h22a7 is more advanced than h22a4, I believe that R engines have hand finished heads. and it has difference cams and valvetrain than older h22's. so close but still differ.

of course you need R ecu if you have R engine.

maintenance parts are the same.

SEARCH and google things out. no need to make new topic for every question!
