can anyone put frm sleeves back into the block?
So I have a 99 and its getting close to 150k. It runs fine now but Im the type to plan ahead. I'm trying to get a plan to rebuild the block. As of now i guess the plan is to send it to golden eagle when the time comes and get iron sleeves and get some 12:1 or so pistons with some stage 2 cams and tune it and all that. thats down the road.
my question is whether anyone can actually put frm sleeves back into it once it needs to be redone? if thats the case ill run the type s pistons in it. should i be worried that the engine will heat up quicker with the iron sleeves due to the frm being better at cooling and what not, not to mention the added friction of iron sleeves. i just wanna make sure that doing iron sleeves isnt going to bite me down the road.
