Camshaft Position Sensor

The Camshaft position sensor is in our dizzys correct? If so and it's bad would I have to replace the whole dizzy?

Do you mean Cylinder Position Sensor? Are you getting Cel #9?

I recently dealt with this issue and I replaced the entire distributor.

If you do replace the distributor with a brand new one, refer to this thread:

My car won't start so I don't have a CEL but my AEM ECM isn't getting a reading from the cam count.

The car doesn't have to start to have a CEL, but I'm guessing you mean it has no EXISTING CEL right now to read.

So yes or no is there a sensor in the dizzy that reads cam position?
