Buying a 5th gen

Hey all, I've been a lurker for a while now, I've now determined that I'm going to get a prelude.. the choices I have now are an 01 Silver SH, left over, few 100 miles on it.. 22500... and at that same dealership a black 98 base 5spd with 61xxx for 17900... this is not the price I would buy it for, but the price they gave me when a 20 year old walks in to the dealership. now the 98 has a large key mark in it... and as a once car detailer I know how hard it is to keep a black car clean..
Now what I'm asking here is take the choice of these two or wait a while until I find the one I'm looking for? I'd prefer a 97-98 base, silver or white, 5spd, less than 60k miles on it.. so should I pay or delay?

Buying a 5th gen

I wouldn't settle for that price on the black one. That's WAY over book value... I got my 98 black base 5-speed for 13,000 and I got it in perfect condition... be sure to shop around before you drop your cash.

peace

The price on the 98 is a little steep.

The price on the SH is about $1K under invoice. Not bad, but the "few 100 miles" would worry me. I'm guessing that this car was a demo, and you know those things are seriously abused. I'm pretty sure they didn't wait 600 miles before they hit VTEC on that car.

Keep shopping around.
