I feel like we already had this conversation Tired of the common front bumper sag...

Are the pictures that you posted in the first thread still relevant? I had my bumper off the other week and it looks like your bumper isn't on right. There is a "strap" that is attached to the bottom of the fender that locks onto the inside lip of the bumper when you slide it into place and the top rear corner of the bumper is screwed into the fender. There aren't any other clips between the fender and bumper on the sides...I think.

Have you tried removing the bumper and reinstalling it? From the high quality diagram that Majestic Honda offers, I think the part numbers are 23 (strap), 26, and 28 (screw and clip). There is a write up in the FAQ showing how to remove the bumper and fender. Look at that. Hope I helped.

well sir your feelings about the matter would be correct.....

I have not taken it off yet but I will be soon and I am just making sure i dont need new clips or if i should just get them in case....I am gonna try the method of putting washers where the Re-bar is like following the writeup on PP. I'm just hoping that I can get the bumper up snug with the fenders...

As long as you have the screw and that strap thing to lock it into place you shouldn't have an issue with pulling the bumper tight on the sides. If you pull the bumper down a little bit you should able to see the metal strap in the middle of the fender. The only tab that could be missing is the tab for the screw to tighten to. I would call Honda to make sure that the parts numbers are accurate, and to double check that you don't need anything else. I'm pretty sure you wont need any extra clips.

Im thinking your also right about the bumper not being on right...It was like that when i bought the car...maybe the guy kinda missed the strap when he put it on..my rear screws that go into in in the fender well are fine...one was lose in the pictures from the other thread but now they are all good

Nice, for some reason I had you living out west. Its about a 2 hour drive from Trenton to Lancaster.

Yeah I think if you take the bumper off and put it back on your should be set. Youll feel the bumper lock into place when you slide it back. It took me a couple times to get it right when I was putting mine on. Let me know if it fixes the problem. Good luck.

Good deal..you can never have to many of those clips. Its amazing how easily they break. I hope you double checked the part number for the "strap". It was hard to tell from the picture if that was definitely the part. Oh well...if its wrong you just send it back or sell it. I wasn't aware they sold those seals for the headlights. I need to pick up one for the right side.

hey man so i got my parts in today and put in both hood seals...they fit great besides the crappy clips breaking a couple times I have to use old clips from the old seals...The Strap/clips for the bumper/fender were correct haha!! finally I know which part it is lol, number 23 for your reference...Gonna tackle this tomorrow and I figure I will put the washers in the re-bar points as well as the new clips and like you said putting the bumper on and seeing if the whole problem was it being on the wrong way by the previous owner in the first place lol

hey man so I finally did the bumper today!!!!!!!!!!!! So basically the bumper is now better but not totally perfect yet. Each fender has two strap clips like we talked about and my fenders were each missing one. Putting in the two new ones where they were missing helped the bumper a little but I was still having problems getting it to sit perfect on the sides. I had one side up perfect and then did the other side and somehow it just went down a little on the perfect side....I think the issue lies with the healdlights being that they were new when i bought the car from, the previous owner...they may need to be adjusted I think in order to allow the bumper to sit all the way up if that makes sense becuase right now I think the fixtures are sitting too low which is keeping the bumper from going up all the way....so overall it does look a lot better and taking off the bumper was super easy! i also fixed an annoying mystery rattle i have had for a few months...loose metal wire harness holder..annoying as fuk...so I will take the bumper off another day and try to see if I can get it perfect...I dont think putting washers in the re bar will help me either

Well I'm glad I helped a little. Throw up some pictures when you get a chance. I'm curious to see where its still sagging at.

Yeah once you figure out how to get the bumper off its a breeze. I just had my bumper off and headlights out for the 100th time today.
