building up the engine???

i got a 97 lude and im postive im going turbo, but on my turbo i want to run a high boost( like 18-25 psi) so i want to build the engine so it will last longer. i know people have ask this before probably but i searched and nothing came up, anyways what i needed advice on was what to do to the enigne. my boy told me to stay away from the greddy evo series because for a turboed system u want like a 3in exhaust manifold, so i need to know what add ons and what brand names are the best because i have mad friends with hondas and everyone tells me something different.

thanks alot for the info, yall are contributing to my bad habit of being the fastest prelude in the dirty south, aka TAMPA

18+ thats a lot. I'm assuming you've got the money for all the upgrades you'll need for that type of boost.

Building up the engine huh? What turbo are you getting? Ballbearing turbo? Custom downpipe or some turbo kit? FUel management? throttle body/? fuel rail? intercooler? Check out some of the drag honda's, because most of them are turbocharged with H22A's. 18 to 21psi is a lot of boost and if you want your engine not to blow up, you have to really carefully blue print the engine. I'm sure the money you'll spend on getting a turbocharger'll be like a pocket change compare to the money you'll spend on blue printing your engine. But if you do it right, then you could probably get at least 400hp to possibly little over 500hp. But that's a lot of money... be like me, jrsc and wet injection NOS. It's a reliable setup that outputs about 320hp... or will be. Get a subscription to honda tunning and turbo magazine. It'll help. or move to california.
