Break in questions.

As I posted here before I bent some valves on my car a few weeks back. I should be getting my back either Tuesday or Wednesday and I was wondering if there was any break in period for new valves. One of my friends told me that I should break it in for around 1000 miles again just as if the car was new. Is this true?

I recently replaced some valves on my car. All I did was take it easy for 500 miles then run the valves then went another 500 miles and rechecked the valves. Everything has been fine since then. What I mean about easy is no racing or going over 6000 rpms.
