Brake light stays on if you release e-brake too quick...

Well.. it seems as when I'm heading to school in the cold morning that the brake light icon on the gauge cluster stays on if I release the e-brake too quick. I started up the car, and released it once it was started up. It stays on the whole time, and the e-brake is completely down. I even stopped one time and pulled the e-brake up and put it back down. You would see the light on the gauge cluster light up even more! Ok, so the next day, I started it up..put it into neutral then waited a couple of seconds, put the e-brake down, and the light goes away. I'm guessing something is up with the sensor?

On a side note.. it freaked out my mom from driving my car when she saw it. I told her just do what I did by putting into neutral for a couple of seconds. But she chose to drive her car instead

I had a 2000 Accord before the lude, and the same thing happened all the time in it. Only it was an auto so I hardly ever used my e-brake. It would just sporadically come on from time to time...wierd.

sticky switch on your ebrake light; when you drop it, the contact stays pressed in for a moment, then comes unstuck. Colder = stickier.

This happened to me for the first time in 3.5 years. It was also less than 30 degrees outside. After a couple of minutes, it went away. I tried pulling and releasing the e-brake several times, but I think it went away because it warmed up. It doesn't help that I hadn't driven the car since Thursday.
