'Brake' Light on... / Blue H1s

This morning was the first 'cold' morning in Florida, it was like 30 before sunrise, anyway, I got in it and noticed the 'Brake' light was on, I check the eBrake, it was down, not on, I didn't know what to do, but I had to be at work, so I just kept going, when it got to running temp the light went out. Is there something wrong here should I take it to Honda or what?

Also, 1 other question, I have aftermarket bulbs, but I got the 100w H1s they are really bright, but I read on here that 100w is too hot, and can mess things up, what I want is the blue looking bulbs, what should I get?

thanks again...

Its probably nothing to really worry about. Just reset your computer(negative battery wire) and see if that helps. If that doesn't do anything, then take it in and have it checked. The headlight bulbs, I had the same ones, and it didn't mess anything up. They burnt out and thats about it.

The "brake" light is connected to a wire that is grounded (I believe, don't quote me) with your e-brake hand. The wire may be loose causing the light to come on. Some other people have had this problem also. Do a search and you should be able to find more info.

Well thats good to know that someone had the 100w bulbs in and it didn't hurt anything, I was pissed that I was going to have to take them out, but like I said I want blue looking blubs, what should I get?

Also-- If it was a bad connection with the wire why would it go out after my car got to operating temprature?

The brake light thing has been happening to me for a long time now. I went and got it checked out. No problem occouring, it just happens when its really cold too. I remember once the dealer just put in more brake fluid and that made the light go away for a while. But now that its cold again, i noticed the light comes on for a couple minutes until the car heats up a bit. Nothing to worry about, just another annoying nuisance with our cars...

Oh well, that makes me feel better. I am glad there is nothing wrong-- now the mechanics behind it are gonna bug me, Why would temprature difference make a light come on or off... weird...

thanks... now if someone could help me with my blue head light issue..

I used to drive a 1991 Lexus LS 400, and the same thing with the brakes started happening, but I left it alone because the fluid levels were OK and the pads were relatively new, and then a couple of days later, NO BRAKES, downhill, into traffic, full weight on the brake pedal. I almost shat my pants. I drove all the way to the dealer using the Ebrake and low gear. Fluid everywhere under the car when I screeched up. Brake lines: cut. Ebrake: shot from driving back to the dealer. Rotors: also shot. What a fun day that was.
