My 2000 type sh has been overheating very often lately. When I check the coolant, it is basically bone dry after about a half hour of driving. There are no leaks and I just replaced the water pump and the heater blows hot so its not the thermostat. The only thing I can think of is the head gasket even though I never saw white smoke and my oil is fine. I literally went through like two gallons of coolant in the last three days until i just started putting water in it for now.
I'll be running a compression test here in the next day or two and try not to drive it much til i figure it out.
Anyone got any ideas?
By the way, i passed 5000 rpms earlier just to see how it would act and my engine just started making gargling noises and decelerated. I thought I blew my engine for a sec

but i threw her in neutral and coasted for a few seconds and she drove fine after that.
