Hey everyone, i was just wondering if anyone had any experience removing the two black strips on the roof of the 5th gen?

they seem to just sort of pull off, but i didn't want to damage them at all (I'm taking them off to do a vinyl wrap of the roof)

Do they just pull off? or is there a bit of a process to take them off?

I believe they are held in with clips at both ends and can be pulled off easily. Starting with the front, pull it toward the back and it should unclip itself. Then at the rear, pull it toward the front and it should also unclip itself. The Helms manual recommends putting some tape down on the roof near each clip and using a flathead screwdriver to pry up a bit of the strip. This helps it move in the right direction to unclip it.
