Black headlight housings

I'm real interested in trying this out, read the thread about it, but I've got some questions.

What kind of paint did everyone use? standard spray can stuff? Flat black, right? Wouldn't gloss be kinda disgusting?

By painting the housings, will I lose brightness? My lights are already pretty friggin dim with my pullies and all.

I want HIDs in the future, should I just wait and do everything at once? If i open them up a few times, I'll likely have more condensation problems, no?

I dunno. I really dig all these DIY things, but I don't want to **** anything up, and I don't know if I have the skill/knowhow/recklessness. New headlights from honda probably cost a bajillion dollars.

I used Duplicolor black from Advanced Auto parts. There was no reduction in brightness afterwards and no problem with condensation after using clear silicon to seal them up. It is quite simple, I guess the only inconvenience is that the sticky, sinewy goo that holds the headlight together gets everywhere but Goo Gone cleans it right up

Is it legal to do that?
I'd be on that if it is.

yeah it is legal; look at the new cavaliers and impalas that have the black housing

black housing = not the WHOLE headlight black but like JDM headlight housing... I think that is what you guys mean lol
