*Black Chrome* Altezza Tails

I've seen people on PO body-color matching their Altezza housings and it's looked pretty nice. I just found out today that there are black chrome altezzas out that would be more black than the existing CF ones (the only altezzas I previously would have considered putting on my black lude).

Look at the bottom of this page: http://www.altezzalighting.com/prelude.htm
I believe these are different from the CF altezzas for the 5th gen since they differentiate between CF and black chrome on the Civic page: http://www.altezzalighting.com/civic.htm

Has anyone seen these in person or know of a good picture of them? I love my cleared stock lights, but these might look nice on a black lude.

My only beef with the carbon fiber and black chrome altezzas is that they don't bother blacking out the entire housing. They leave the outter part of the tail-light (the part that wraps around the trunk) clear, while the rest is black, which leaves it looking a little cheesy IMO. I believe that custom painted altezzas are the only way to go.

I'm just curious
The stock tails are actually one of the reasons I was first drawn to the looks of the lude.

I just got me GEN 4 for my ride. It seems to me people hate them. Everyone always says that altezza are ***. Stock is better. And you are right but then everyone has stock. SO why not be different. I dont wanna be like everyone else and have the stock. I wanna make it look different. The only time i dont like altezzas is when i see the CHROME one on a dark colored car. I think chrome looks good on light color cars liek silver (which is what i have) and white. Alll others should go with CF

..yeah this would look good I think. I don't have Altezzas but I wouldn't mind these black chrome ones. I just don't see many ppl openly discussing them here b/c everyone on this board seems to have a thing against Altezzas.

I browsed around for those 3 circle taillight for 5gen for months...
there were only CF and Chrome... this black chrome is definitely a new one if it's not customed.

Well I can say without a doubt that those are the best Altezza lights I've seen so far for our 5th gens. I'm just concerned with the reliablility of a set of aftermarket tail-lights. I don't want to spend money on a set, then have it fog up or crack after a week.

I saw this one on ebay, I can't tell if they came that way, or if the guy customized them. It looks like the outer lens is missing.

That's pretty cool. The one thing I didn't like before was the way the clear lens looked when light hit it, but even after I've seen it sans lens, I think I still like the stock housings better. The mostly straight lines of the 5G don't look right with those small circular lenses IMO. Maybe if there were only 2 and they were larger (Skyline-style). Something like these for the 6G Accord 4-door:

I really like that look.

Anyway, I think Honda got it right

Thanks for the pic.

Looks to me a lot of ppl are modifying the 3circle altezza light.

My question is... did anybody try to put an extra bulb in the center circle lense taht does not light up??
it would look sweet if all 3 circle lenses light up at night!!!

those of you that played around with the altezza plz tell me if this is even possible?! wanna make sure I can do it before I get one.
