bigger e-brake handle button?

I've seen on some modded Japanese cars, they've modded their e-brake button so that the tip of it is large and flat (almost like a coin stuck on the end). This is so they can utilize their e-brake with less fear of accidentally locking it up. I want to do something like this since I do make frequent use of my ebrake during certain maneuvers. I'm wondering if it may be as simple as screwing/riveting a small circular metal plate to the end of our button. My only concern is what's underneath the button. A spring? A rod of some sort? Anyone ever disassemble or mod their 5th gen ebrake handle?

when i read this, i was going to abuse you, then i remebered when i used to do it and i learnt the hard way when i hit a curb and broke my whole rear suspension...so ill let you learn the har way also...

as far as doing it, easiest way would be to drill a thread into the buttoen adn them screw in a matching 'thingie'....good thing with this is that you could easily fill it up when you learn your lesson by ****ing up your car from doing 'manouveres' and it will look stock...

this is not a flame, just trying to point out what not to do in a heavy front wheel drive car..
