My rotors are going to need to be replaced soon so I fiugre why not spend the money now on a big brake kit. I have OEM rims and I am not planning on buying any until I do my swap. I am looking into either Rotora or Brembo. Which one is better and which one will fit with stock rims? Also, does it come with everything I need (front and back)?
oh ok. i'm willing to bet that you'll need 17s to fit those calipers. i think you might need to give them a call to be sure though.
1395 isn't bad, i guess. though slots and x-drills don't make me happy...you might want to replace or have them replace the rotors with some brembo blanks?
I don't know which set I am going to go with. I will call both and find out which ones will. What rotors are better; cross-drilled, slotted or blank? Also, would it be better to go with rotora and the one piece or brembo and the floating rotor? Price isn't an issue.

well from what Specialque told me after PM'in him a couple of times he told me that the Rotora BBK will fit under the stock 16's but you need a spacer or some sort....i didnt get into it much further because i ran out of $$$
you can PM Specialque for info about the Rotoras
he also told me that you really dont need the BBK for the rear(i dont think they even make it anyway)because its not necessary and you will probally throw off your braking balance or something to that nature..i dont remember our convo between me and him so dont quote me on that brake balance issue...if you can call it that

Thanks I will have to PM him. I am guessing I can get a matching set but not Big brake. It would look a little wierd with a nice big brake kit on teh front and nasty dirty OEM on the back.

If price isn't an issue, then what about Spoon calipers? No they don't use larger rotors, but they are lightweight aluminum which will reduce your unsprung weight. They are also 4 piston which should still reduce your stopping distance by giving you a much more even grip on the rotor.

Originally posted by LVSBB6 When swapping with Rotora big brake kit, even with 17's or 18's you'll need a lower offset to clear the caliper.
Is there any manufacturers make big brake kit for rear as well?
The Rotora website should have a template that shows you how much clearance you need with your rims. I actually have the wheels they show in one of their pics so I know they would work with mine, but I have a 40mm offset which is pretty extreme.
No one makes a true big brake kit for the rear, it's just not necessary. AEM makes the semi-BBK for the rear, but it still uses the stock caliper.

A 42mm offset should be plenty since you can't go much more than a 42mm offset anyway. I'm at the limit with my 40mm offset. If nothing else, get a 5mm spacer, don't get new wheels.
