Beware of Vagentleman!!!

Salute everyone. I'm starting this to warn everybody about a shady forum member selling stuff here. Vagentleman is no gentleman, he's crooked man.
I Pmed him a bunch of times on this forum including 3 times stating that i wanted the rear lower control arm and the spindle/knucle on the driver's side of the lude he was parting out. This slick ass sent me everything i needed but with a huge caveat: it's all from the passenger's side. I tried talking to him, but he try to put the blame on me by saying i told him wanted the passenger's side. Now he neither answering the phone nor the pms. He first asked to send him the money as a gift through paypal. I never dealt with him before so why would do that? He, however agreed to a regular transaction and sent him the money quickly. But of course some people will always pull these stunts on newbies.
Anyway i just wanted to warn everyboy about this shady dude. Do not foc with him.

Did you happen to keep the private messages you sent to him in your sent folder? Perhaps there was an honest miscommunication between the two of you, and the parts you want have already been sold.

Yep, you need a paper trail to prove you're right; PM, email, IM, text....something. If you don't have one, you are in a tight spot.

I bought rear arches from this guy since mine was rust damaged. He cut off the piece i wanted and he shipped it to me (sweden), no problem with that. but the package was terrible, just the metal arches in a big box, no wrapping = the dent & rust free arches I wanted wasnt that dent and rust free after its trip across the sea. kind of sad.

I hope that the lot of that have dealt with this person are submitting negative feedback via his account here and any other prelude forum he might be on, as much as it sucks that those of you have been screwed over by this douche, it will happen again to some unsuspecting party looking for parts in the future

Perhaps he has a RHD, and he did send you the correct side (on a RHD).

Yeah man, it's either you or him....but we need proof from both sides to see where the communication breakdown was.

I'm going to lock this in a day if this doesn't get resolved.

This is the 3rd email mentioning the lower control arm and the spindle/knuckle assembly on the driver's side. There was some other PMs but if you check the dates you know that i'm not on the computer often. I say this because he said i waited a month, which is not true. I got the parts on thursday march 4th and tried to install them on march the 18th which exactly 14 days. I went out of time so i couldn't do anything.

Hey give me your email again so we can make the transaction happen. Again this for a rear lower control arm and the spindle/knuckle assembly. I'll catch you tomorrow if not in the next 30 minutes. By the what's your phone number?

These are my communications with vagentleman through paypal resolution center. Pay attention to the date and times.
Over the phone last time we talked he said that in my emails i requested the parts he sent, but now that he knows i got proof against his claim, he writes that i requested the wrong parts during our last phone conversation before shipment. Y'all be the judges.

3/22/2010 23:05 PDT - Buyer: I communicated with Chad hancock multiple times, including 3 email messages on the preludeonline.com forum, stating clearly that i needed the rear lower control arm and the spindle/knuckle assembly on the driver's side from his car he was parting out. I even told him the same thing over the phone. He asked me to send him the money as a gift, but i wasn't comfortable with that. He agreed to a regular paypal transaction and i promptly made the funds available. However he shipped me the parts from the passenger's side which are not compatible with the driver's side suspension layout. I phoned him about and he quickly blamed me for the blunder saying that's what i told him through the emails. I text him, emailed him, and called him again, but he ignore all the attempts. So decided to turns this issue over to paypal. I still have the emails and can make them available to paypal upon request.

3/22/2010 21:32 PDT - Seller: I no longer have the car it was crushed after i pulled off your parts you asked for the only way im refunding money to you is if i get the parts back wich will cost you around 50 dollars to mail back to me at your expense or i will offer you 50 dollars now and you close the case

3/22/2010 21:08 PDT - Seller: the last phone conversation we had about the parts before shipping you said you needed the parts from the passenger side so that is what i sent you i sold over 2 thousand dollars worth of parts off that car and noone else has complained nor anyone else accused me of sending wrong parts all items are sold as is with no implied warranty i sent you what you asked me for on the phone im sorry you got your signal crossed

3/21/2010 16:38 PDT - Buyer: hey Chad i called you, emailed you, sent you a text message about the wrong parts you sent me, but you chose to ignore me. I ordered the rear lower control arm and the spindle/knuckle assembly on the driver's side. I have 3 email records confirming this and i can supply them. I don't think you made a honest mistake. Instead, you sent the parts from the passenger's side just to take my money. I am certified mechanic in the state of michigan and also an ME student so i know what i'm doing when ordering parts. You need to sent me correct parts or refund my money or else we hand this case over to paypal.

Lesage, while I understand you are frustrated about getting the wrong parts, there is nothing that you can post here that is going to help your situation. Even if vagentleman is banned, made to look like a jerk, and found to be 100% at fault, this is a free forum so he can just create a new user name and continue scamming people if he so desires. You're only hope for a refund is through paypal, and they usually don't want to get involved. If you have already run it by them and they refused to help just cut your losses, learn your lesson, and move on.
