any one wants a go at this tell me what u think about mugen being the best one u can get
along with mugen i am aware that apex is also a good one

This question has been beaten to death, tortured, and tied to the back of a car and driven across the country and then back again for another beating. Hehe. Just some humor preludeman2000.

Do a search on exhausts and you'll get more info than what people could reply on this thread. But you can't go wrong with Mugen if you have the cashola.

Raw power? Probably an N1... but you'll lose a fair bit of torque down low (assuming you have headers and a custom cat/test pipe.) Mugen probably provides the best power all-around.

HOWEVER, the stock exhaust system is damn good, you won't see that many gains from replacing it - unless you've got quite a few mods already.

PEPBOY'S $20 Honeycomb tip...hell yeah...., or if you ghetto and don't have any money, get aluminum foil and make an exhaust tip out of it, and than tell your friend to burn you a cd of exhaust tone, just bump that cd when ever you're cruising in your car so everyone will think that you have real exhaust ..Hahahaa.. . .damn.. I got too much time on my hands. Vietlude

sorry guys...

Sorry, but the best exhuast has to go to spoon...not mugen, the mugen has name and show, while the spoon muffler just goes about its business and has the most gains...

Friend of mine also has a 5th gen and at the time we both had aem + exhaust...and my car would edge him out, even when we swapped cars.....

Problem is, ther is NO show in the muffler, exept for it being stainless steel, and having a tapered tip...

I dont have any dyno runs on computer, as I had it on my car so long ago, so try to understand Im not trying to say that its on my car and its the best, because I dont have it on anymore, but I do have it in my garage for when I strip it for autox only in its later years....

Probably easier is if you can find someone with a ITR (cause they're fairly popular in that scene) and compare their car to a car equipped with mugen....

Dont get me wrong, mugen make good parts, hell Ive got there headers and bodykit on my car...but I will not believe that ALL their products are the best....

Mugen all the way ! I love mine. They are veyr expensive though. Its not like one is going to give you a 2hp gain and another 50hp so go with the best sound and quality.
