Best all season tires in $90-$120 range

Hi Preludists

I have a 2001 Honda Prelude. it has only 28,00 miles on it, and 5000 of those were going between L.A. And Spokane, Washington twice. I was told that my tires have side rot on them and are ready to blow. Can anyone recommend an all season tire. I am not concerned with how long they will last, as I won't be around to see it, as i am terminally ill, but I do need a tire that handles snow well. I am not an aggressive driver, but do enjoy a tight ride.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
My illness has bankrupted me, so I can't afford much more than $90-$120 per tire.
Thanks for any thoughts

If you look for Mexican tire shops with used tires you will some good and very cheap ones.

about 40 minutes away from me is an area populated largely by latinos and I bought 2 ContiPro's in great shape for $35 each.

I am using some Michelin Primacy MXM4 tires on some 17" Honda wheels. I am very happy with these tires. They drive much better than my Dunlops especially in snow and rain. They are much more stable, quieter and have lots of grip in all conditions. They even get a bit better gas mileage (~1 1/2mpg). I think they are close to your budget with the rebates that are available lately.

Sorry to hear about your illness.

As someone else mentioned, I would choose the Continental ExtremeContact DWS. My friends who have them, love them. You can also see how well they perform in snow in the Tirerack.com test.

I'm not a fan of Fuzions. I had the ZRis for a while, and they are as far from a performance tire as you can get.

The ZRi's are completely different then the VRis. The VRi has a symetrical tread and a 400 treadwear rating. The ZRi is directional with a 200 treadwear rating. The HRi & VRi are decent in the snow, and with the 400 treadwear rating they last a long time.

Obviously they are different, but **** quality tends to be a theme.
