Battery seems dead.......

OK. In this week, I can't start my car for about 3~4 times already. WTF???? My lude is 2001 model, just bought it for 10 months.....I have checked out the battery indicator, it said "battery OK" (the small hole on the battery is "blue outside, red dot inside", I can't even start my car. Can anybody tell me what's going on?? Does the battery under warrenty???? And battery deflect????

Here's my situation:
I went back to HK this yr on May and left my car for 4 months. My alarm drain out my battery within 2 weeks. When I back to Edmonton on September, the battery is totally drain out, I can't even turn the hazard light on. At that time, the batter indictaor said it need to recharge, so I jump-started my car and then go drive it for recharging. After I drove for a 15-minutes-period, I arrived a intersection waiting for turn left, maybe I haven't touch the clutch for very very long time, I hold the clutch not deep enough and the my car stall. OK, after 15 mins charing, the battery should have enough electricity to start the engine right??????????? Holy smoke, the car didn't start and I didn't have any electricity to turn on hazard light in the dark.....Anyway, my friend help me out, then drove my car back home. Before I left the car, I have tried to start my car, it worked. Then I went to sleep. Next day, I wanted to drive my car back to school, but I couldn't start my car again. ****. By the way, it's the last time the battery has problem until this week. Ok, the weather get colder and colder from last week. My car was parked on the driveway, and I forget to plug in the block heater before I went to sleep( Last Sunday Night). So I couldn't start my car in the morning(This past monday). I turn the ignition to III, the dash is binking and the sounds from the ignitor told me that it's running out of battery. But I did check the indicator of the battery, said "battery ok". Finally I need a jump start, then everything worked fine until this thursday. In this thursday morning, my car can't start again. Damn!!!!!! Jump-started then back to school. Today(friday) I can start my car, everything was fine until I go to a gas station trying to get cheap gas. I turn off the car without turning off the headlight(HID) and heat. Few minutes after, I back to my car, I realize that the dash light is dimmer than before but not sure though, whlile trying to start my car, it failed again and need JUMP START.And the battery indicator said,"Ur battery is OK, good, no need to recharge. ****>>>WTF. Can anybody help me out, it's so annoying that can't start or remote start my car...............

My car has HID, remote starter/alarm, header, exhaust. And I don't think the HID and the heat will drain out my battery within few minute. My HID was installed since mid-september, everythings work fine until this week.

I am going to drive car back home in an hour, hope I don't need a JUMP-START.

Your battery is the problem. You'll need one - and it's not a good idea to charge your battery by driving it around. Puts a lot of stress on the alternator.

O, I got the battery replaced free.
But now the battery is not the one as before, this new battery is by Honda Canada. So I just wondering if the Honda Canada battery better or worse than the Honda Japan's???

logical analysis of the situation leads me to think that the Canadian battery SHOULD be better... since the ludes up there must go through very tough winters.

very good point, not to mention I am sure both bateries have to go through the iso9000 standard and I am sure both are of good quality, probably almost no differences..................

And the Answer is

Guess what-yes the battry from Honda Canada meets the corporate specification for quality-it is their product regardless of the label or where it was actually made for Honda. You still have the Honda warranty on it too.
If you are still having a starting problem-take out the HID and anything else that MAY be draining the battery. Try that for a day and see if the battery holds a charge. Sears or your dealer offers a diagnostic test (for a price of course). But removing your extra goodies may well find the source of the extra draining.
If the problem was fixed with a new battery, it does NOT mean that you are completely out of the woods. So do consider the test I suggest-if you plan on leaving the car for several months. You can also disconnect the battery prior to a long storage and that will help with the situation.
Just remember that radios and alarms are always drawing power. Even the clock can eventually cause a battery to go.

Now to fuel-cheap price and low octane is NOT good for 5th gen Preludes-period. This is a machine with very tight tolerances and it does NOT like nor should it be subjected to inferior anything.
US octane ratings are not calculated the same as they are in some other countries-BUT-91 or higher here is considered PREMIUM FUEL ONLY as stated on the dash and fuel door. I run nothing but 92 or higher.
Just my 2 cents worth after ## years of ownership of many cars.
