Base to SH

I don't want to spend alot of money making my car look nice, so I'd figure I'd just turn my base model to a SH. Exterior wise. I think getting used authentic sh parts are easier to get than authentic mugen or greddy parts.

What do I need to make my car look like an SH? I know I need lips and side skirts. Do I just get the front and rear lip? Or do I have to replace the whole bumper?

Thanks for the help in advance.

if you're going for the sh look, all you really need is a spoiler and painted stock skirts. and maybe the sh rims if you're into those as well. the lip was an option i believe...

lips all around (4 pieces), rims, ATTS decal on trunk, high-mount-brakelight-less rear deck (the thing with your rear speakers and brake light housing), and ATTS front emblem if you so wish.

I wouldn't put on ATTS emblems without having ATTS. There is a difference between wanting to have the SH look, and perpetrating and fronting like it's a real SH. No offense, dude. ^^^

Go to a bodyshop and have them paint your stock side skirts and rear lip. Get SH rims. Get a spoiler. Get an SH rear speaker deck, or do like me and just shave the 3rd brake light. ( A little fiberglass mat on the underside to fill the holes, some automotive carpeting, and some spray adhesive to cover the hole thing. Pretty easy, and way cheaper than buying a new deck. ) Oh, and SH interior door panels have a little light in them.

No just sh

anyways, the optional lip kit is a much better touch than the sh lips and still mount the same. But I guess it depends on your situation.

Do I have to replace my bumpers to put on the lips? I bought this car about 2 months ago and I have no idea if my body is completely stock.

Also my front bumper seems like its drooping or falling off. Can this be easily fixed? Or should I just replace it.

it amazes me at how misinformed people are sometimes when they post..
To OP, do you know what an SH prelude even looks like? Because your car basically looks like an SH already. The only difference between a base and an SH exterior wise is that the stock sideskirts and rear lip are already painted, the car comes with a spoiler, it has 5-spoke SH rims, and it has just the Type SH sticker on the top right of the trunklid, no ATTS decals and NO front lip. Your car has just about all those things besides the rims, so thus it already looks like an SH minus the wheels. Like someone said though, don't get the sticker because, your car really isn't an SH. SH rims are definitely NOT 600+..I just saw a good set on PreludePower for ~$200.

The front bumper droop you see is the common 5th gen bumper sag..it can easily be fixed by removing the bumper and reinstalling it with added washers.

AMEN

Just about every post above this was misinformed (except Toms). I sold my SH rims this past summer for $150. They weren't MINT, but they weren't in to bad a shape.

Like hnguy said. Your car is already pretty close to SH looking. Your rear and side "lips" are black (hard to tell if its just the stock plastic in those pics, or paint). You have the spoiler. The only thing exterior why is the sticker and the wheels.

The wheels you have right now are from an Acura RSX and look just about as good as SH rims IMO.

The lip kit you are probably think of is the OEM optional kit which has NOTHING to do with whether or not it is an SH. That kit is becoming very hard to find as Honda stopped making them several years ago. There are some replica's and such being made now, etc.

I think you will find with the 5th gen, that parts are a little trickier to find and the car just takes time to modify even if you have all the money in the world.

Your car looks pretty nice as it is. Id recommend getting a Type S lip if you dont want to spend the money on getting the OEM or Mugen kits all around.

Oh really? I take it you don't have them any more? Any pics? How much do you want for them if you do? It's really expensive to ship wheels, but where do you live just for the heck of it?

Thank you very much.

Quick question. What is a popular bumper for the 5th gen lude? I know mugen is one of them. I know there is a replica of the mugen. Who makes it and what is the fitment?

I slid into a ice bank and cracked my front bumper.
