Ball Joint

Hey everyone. The threaded stud and nut broke off the ball joint on my passenger-side, rear upper control arm. I was looking around on ebay and there are a lot of control arms for sale with the ball joint but they all seem to be just for the front suspension. Is the upper control arm on the front the same as the one in the rear or are they different. If they're different does anyone know where I can get a stock ball joint or the assembly for a good price? I'd rather not spend the money for the ES camber kit.....I already have them in the front and I don't have my car lowered anymore.....just riding on stock suspension. Thanks!!

No, the A Arm on the rear isn't the same on the front. If you want to replace the ball joint, the best course of action is to get the OEM A Arm that comes with it. Honda doesn't particularly recommend that you find a replacement ball joint to press into the A Arm, because they say it loses its structural rigidity, but I pressed in my adjustable ones and I'm pleased with the results, almost a year later they've been problem free.

Go to any local alignment shop, you might find the cost of an A Arm to be lower than you think and the price of a regular ball joint pressed in to be very inexpensive too. I'm talking like $40 for the part and whatever they charge for labor ($30?).

Seems reasonable to me.
