Rapid heating and cooling, wear and deterioration, but really, that shouldn't happen!

There is a balancer seal retainer that should have been there to prevent this from happening. Did you have the timing belt done recently?

I have change the timing belt when my car had 120 000 km. The balancer seal popout at 200 000km. I never heard about a recall on fifth gen about the balancer seal. I have change my timing belt at the honda dealer and they never told my about a problem with the balancer seal... it is just weird that the balancer seal popout the day after I did my oil change... very strange!!!

its not a recall. it is a t.s.b. meaning that if you encounter this common problem this is what honda recommends you do about it. we just do it as a proactive measure!
