Automatic Transmission gear slipping

I have a 2000 Honda Prelude with an Automatic transmission. I have read threads here stating that 5th Gen have trans problems. I am currently In Germany. I have not had a problem with my transmission until today. I think the weather has to be the problem. It is 19 F here in Germany. I've Never had my lude in these weather conditions before. Is there anyone else having these same problems if so let me know to help correct this problem.

That unfortunately mean your transmission is done. Finished. Broken. Gone.

You need to get it rebuilt, get a new one, or swap to a 5-spd.

Sorry to say this.

Just search around if you don't believe me. There is an astounding amount of threads dedicated to this exact issue.

Here bro: Please read if you own an SS prelude - Preludepower.com

If you have an SS Auto, Please read this:

Have you ever had your SportShift tranny replaced?

There are many more.

your mechanic did a bad job rebuilding it.

this is a very common problem with 5th gens. This is not your fault at all. This is also not mechanic fault. You can rebuild these things until you are blue in the balls, they will keep breaking. You either need a 1. new tranny or 2. a manual swap.

Since you are in Germany I am surprised they have auto Ludes there. I thought manual is what it's all about there.

cold weather shouldn't affect transmission performance wise. Check the trans oil level. Any CEL's?
