How did you manage to get the tranny to bolt up to a auto engine? Because even the base 5spd and the SH have diffrent mounting points on the block. So I'm sure the auto would be diffrent from the SH too,not saying that it couldn't be done I'm just wondering HOW it was done!
The only swaps I've heard or read about was auto ->base 5spd.
And no I'm not calling
I'm just curious.

ok
costed 3000 for everthing. but that was because i worked at an insurance company and found a total'd 99 sh. the entire front end was but the tranny was
it took 6 weeks because the guy who did it . dr charles @ atomic performace in fullerton , never did any swap like this before.
yes i have atts and the full sh set up. i had to get alot of stuff custom on it becuase the bottom end of the sh and base are different.
the hard thing is to find a complete set up for 5 gen. you can use a set up from a 4 gen but there is so many problems i tried it.
i ran a jdm sir ecu omg its so dope runs so much better than a usdm ecu.
i currently have a jdm sh ecu. not much different than a us ecu. but you can tweak it a little more
as far as a swap i have buddy who did work on my ride who can do it. if any are you are serious send me a message and i will give you my cell # . im n so cali

hmm are you the same guy who had his car featured on Sport Compact Cars like 1-2 years ago.
About some guy who swapped out his auto for a manual. I remember it saying that he used to race and run NOS. But his gears started slipping, so he decided to get a swap to manual from atomic-performance?

ya i live in diamond bar. any one who is down to meet call me up. i would love to help out fellow lude owners.
ok as for the questions. the ss to base 5 spd change over would cost allmost as much. the hardest is to find the complete set up. that the main problems..you can find a motor and trans from a 4th gen all day long.
but to find a complete set up for a 5th gen is the issue.
i can refer you to a buddy who did mine and he can find one.
if any of you local luders are interested call me up
