ATTS not working

Compared to the first couple of weeks when I got my SH, it handles so damn well on hard corners. Now, it seems like I've been sliding more and just doesn't feel like the ATTS is working at all. I don't feel that effortless pull on the corners anymore. Could it be my tires? I have 5100 miles on my car.

I remember someone said that you can hook up a wire with a LED to the ATTS solenoid so the activation of ATTS can be visualized. Does anyone know how to do the wiring?

Could it be that you're now taking turns that are sharped and at a fast speed then you were before. If so then that may be your answer. It can't overcome physics so if you're hitting turns to fast or ones that are too sharp you'll wind up understeering.

I am doing the same type of turn and same speed. But I feel and hear more tires than before. It was effortless before, that is I feel my car pulling but now I don't.

What's this connecting the LED thing? I'm interested...anyone know?

If you've driven your car fairly hard, those crappy Bridgestones will lose their adhesion pretty quickly. At 15,000 miles, they were squealing on low-speed cornering.

I hear so much about how the bridgestones do not perform well. I have almost 30K on my stock bridgestones and they still don't squeal. They also have more than 50% of their tread life left. And I corner HARD. At least I think I do

in that case, trust me. you're NOT taking turns fast enough.

Shukuchi_SH:
for ATTS to work, you have to be on the throttle coming out of the turn. are you sure that's what you're doing?

Or, you just take turns very rare - i.e. Once every 6 month.

But, seriously, even that I cann't imagine that you still have half tread left @ 30K. You must never take turns fast and drive like a grandma with a lot of highway driving (at 55MPH or so).

I take them turns at 40-50mph. Coming out of the turn? I usually just gas usually right away from 3rd gear to 4th at around 40-50 then I take the turn without letting my foot off the gas and it works...but now my car slides. Am I doing it right? What do you mean coming out of the turn?

Bro, its the tires. I have 37k on my SH, and I bought it used, but I don't think da tires were ever changed. I took a turn at 15 in light rain and started drifting, I was like WTF??? Checked the tread, and yep, time for new tires. S03's, here I come

Have you checked the air pressure too? This will change the tires' ability to grip. Or maybe it's time to rotate the tires; you might be wearing the left front if you're taking a lot of fast/hard right turns. But the RE92s are definitely squealers and don't have the most grip. Unlike most people, though, I was pretty happy with them during my 45000 miles with them. They don't grip as well as my Pirelli P7000s, but they certainly tracked and sounded better.

Well, I do, and yes I do mostly drive on the highway, but at 85, not 55 And I didn't say half, I said more than half.

I knew the Bridgestones were bad when on the second day that I bought it, driving in light rain on the highway, the car felt like it almost hydroplaned...and I was going 55mph, with no traffic.
