Just get the AEM CAI. You'll be saving yourself a lot of trouble. Trust me on this one!

The AEM piping is too long and you lose with that. Just imagine when you add another foot or so of tubing. W/O forces induction i think its a bad idea.

Elaborate please. That means nothing. And the SRI is better? And about the Aerospeed intake. Thats the first step to Ricehood.

What if later you decided to put something there. EAM will save you lots of troubles, Frontmounted intake looks really ***.

the problem with this idea is not the length of the intake pipe, but the amounts of turns and the stress that puts on the suction of air...

the airflow in that intake is going to be abnormal due to the fact that the intake almost takes a 90 degree turn to reach the front of the bumper like that...

with FI it wouldnt be an issue because there is increased pull from inside the turbo or super charger to suck in more air...

but with a normal intake...its stressing the engine and depriving it of air....

imagine trying to suck in with a straight straw...now bend that straw into a 90 degree turn and suck in with that...

also how the hell did they add the filter element into this intake? is the whole front assembly a filter? is there a filter in the middle of the tubing somewhere?

would it be possible to mod one of these with a different pipe so if you had a hood scoop it would go right into this???
or would the piping again be to constricting??
or is this just a crazy idea all in one...?????

how would u pipe it...not only would rain fall straight into it...but how would you get it between the hood and the engine without touching the hood or engine?

for that much money juss get some NOS and learn to double clutch straight aways
and race for pink slips and respect...
when you win by a mile or an inch..it wont matter cause winning is winning...

Dont have one but I've seen how they're installed, they're POS,piping is pretty much same as an intercooler, goes straight to the tb,and for the filter, its got I think acrylic or some kinda hard see through plastic to protect it,so air barely gets to the filter at all,you can take it off but its there to protect from leaves and dirt and ****,might be decent for track use I guess, but in my opinion they're ****

Those things are so "ricey" and ghey! Its nothing more than a fake intercooler, so if you want a fake intercooler and want to "front" it then get it. Otherwise save your money and get something that would actually help with the performance of your car, like an AEM CAI. But if you really want that "intercooler" effect, I agree with pearl type sh, at least get the plastic intercoolers from VIS, they look more decent.
