Anyone with at Turbo SS?

I was contemplating getting the Turbo Greddy setup for my slushshift lude... but I was wondering if anyone has had any big problems. Of course I am looking at a 3rd transmission rebuild within 9000 miles of driving, so obviously I will be looking at a Levelten upgrade pre-turbo. I want to know maintenance and tuning, are they a real pain in the ass to keep up once installed?

well, any turbo setup is high maintenance when going turbo on n/a. and there is a guy on po.com that has a turbo setup, but he just did a 5spd swap. if i were you, and u had the funds for turbo setup, i would just go on the bottle. its much cheaper, and less strain.

get the turbo!! If I had the money I would do it to my SS in a second, show eveybody you don't need a manual to be fast. I would say "look" at a level10 upgrade, it would be required before the turbo. Also your car will be a lot more needy than it is now after the turbo install.

ask imaplaya about this one, i believe he had a 13.7 SS. But even with the level10, his tranny gave out.

I think he was runnig 12.8 with slicks Not trying to flame but if you run that time in your SH, you'll break things too. I haven't heard anybody bragging about how strong their honda tranny is, manual or auto.

Damn..Imaplaya just had 50 shot of NOS and he ran low 13s!!! that's hella fast for a SS lude. I'm seriously thinking about NOSing mine too...what do you suggest I do before I get NOS? I mean..what other mods should I get first just so won't have any problems..I will probably be spraying like twice a year at the track just so I can talk ****..hahaha? My car is a 98 SS and I have absolutely no problem with the tranny so far, it has 53k miles too. Just installed the AEM Pulleys and they made a BIG difference in low end power..*Highly Recomended for SS Luders*
