Anyone ever strip a valve cover bolt?

Hey guys, I think I stripped the valve cover volt in the center, or the actual stud is stripped in its thread in the cam shaft holder. I just ordered a new bolt from honda. I just wanted to know if anyone has had this problem, and what they did.
I am going to saw off the nut, and then try to pull the stud out. I will either retap the cam shaft holder, or jb weld it into place.

You can look at a valve cover nut and strip it out

The problem is the nut, and not the bolt shaft. If you take your valve cover off, you'll see that they are threaded on both ends, which makes replacing them easy. To get the cover off, you'll have to get a dremel tool (or something similar) and cut off the nut. I've found that it's easiest to cut the nut down the middle and pull the nut off the bolt.

Hope that helps

My mechanic got my stripped nut off with an air gun (small one). He said you just have to spin it fast enough and it will usually walk off. A drill with a socket adapter should work just as well.
