Any Vehicle inspection problems with clear front and side lenses?
Mine is coming up soon and I was wondering if I should play it safe and make sure I put the stock lenses back on with the orange front blinker or should I just keep the clear ones on?
Appreciate the help!

it only takes 5 min. to unscrew them and put the stock back, shouldn't be a hassle if you want to play it safe. I personally didn't have a problem since my friend inspected it for me. Some inspection stations are more or less anal about those.
Yeah, VA is very anal about stuff like that. Don't know the laws in Jersey though. Hey TranceAZN, did you know clear front turn signals and bumper lens ARE in fact LEGAL in VA? It says so right in the Inspection Book. I carry the paper with me in the car in case I get pulled over for BS like that. Clear turn signals, Clear bumper lights, loud exhausts (because "inspection of exhaust does NOT concern noise level"), all LEGAL. I've been wanting to shove the law the other way for a while now.

if they have an orange bulb right? if not i don;t believe it either
h22, i didn't know that but it's a good thing to hear.
i see so many ppl with clear lenses and sidemarkers as long as they're clear or amber, we'll be ok.
any inspection i have ever seen needs to have, red reflectors on the rear sides and back, orange reflectors on the front and frt sides, all lights must be amber or clear in the front and orange on sides, red on rear sides and rear.
except in VA of course.
once a cop pulled me over for speeding and impounded my car and made me change them back and take off my tint before i could get it out. it sucked cause i was out of town at the time.

Wow, you guys jump through a lot of hoops for inspection. In WI, we don't have an "inspection". We run "emissions". All they want to know is how much bad stuff is coming out of your tailpipe, and that's it. They don't care about tint, bulbs, lenses, ride height, carb. exemption #s etc. I think this is the way it should be. In fact, many counties west of Milwaukee don't even test emissions.
Question about carb. #s and aftermarket exhausts: What if you had a muffler shop create a custom exhaust for you to stock specs? Technically, this is an "aftermarket" exhaust, but obviously wouldn't have a exemption #. Would that fly?
