aem vs unorthodox

I see on sites listing unorthodox pully for an 8-15hp gain, this sounds rather out there, but they are twice as much as AEM. so is unorthodox that much better? People say they get like 3-5hp with aem pullys.

I believe the Unorthodox setup involves 3 pulleys (crank, alternator, and P/S pulley), while the AEM has 2 pulleys (alternator, P/S). I went for AEM anyways. Harmonics (71dsp can tell ya) is not one to be trifled with.

Try a search. I have wrote so much on this topic that you will find plenty of material to read.

The keywords are Unorthodox pulleys. Here's a post about one of them, and 71dps talks about harmonics a little: Recipe on modding prelude's engine

Ummmmm AEM Pullies

Ummm yeah AEM pullies really suck. Go with uo or somthing else.... anything is better.... The guys at many proformance shops down here wont even sell them or put them on. Huge diffrences in AEM and UO and no the gains are not that far out there.

Thanks and I know I'm gonna get dogged for this.

Well I think this is more of a matter of will your lude keep on going w/ the added horses provided by the Unorthodox set. Cause no matter if they're gonna give me 50+ horses...if the car's gonna give out then I'm not using them, period. So yeah obviously AEM won't give ya as much of a performance gain, but hey at least the car's gonna keep running!

Try searching. I have posted LOTS of information on this subject. A solid crank pulley is responsible for ruining my crank bearings and oil pump.
