first mistake was ordering from partsgeek.com. I ordered a part for my prelude on there and it had a 97 prelude sticker on it. Went to install it and it didnt fit. I peeled off the prelude sticker and underneath it was a Honda accord sticker. They just put the prelude sticker on the oem honda part and sent it to me. Like I wouldnt notice when the part didnt fit my car?

I have never heard anything about Parts Geek. I just researched for a little bit and they seemed to have the cheapest price I was able to find on the AEM V2 for the Prelude. I noticed that after I bought the intake, the raised the price of the intake like $30. They probably sold me a defective one or one for an Accord... lol.

I'm going to return it. There is no way that I am able to install an AEM cold air intake and not the V2. Something must be wrong with the intake.

Does anyone know where I can buy a V2 for cheap?

Why do you keep wasting your time and money on a V2?

So far that is supposedly the best street legal intake that I have done research on. Plus I also want to go short ram because the last time that I took my car to the mechanics, they forgot to screw back on the plastic under side and it ripped off while I was driving. So now my air filter is exposed bare. Its good in the summer but when rain season comes, I dont like to have to worry about puddles.

You've obviously not done a proper amount of research.

Well, so far this is the best street legal short ram intake that I have read about. As I have stated, I am not that knowledgeable about aftermarket parts. I just go by what I read doing searches online. So far, this is what I have come across...

Just get any intake. If you're too paranoid to own a CAI, then go with an ebay SRI.

I am very happy with my AEM Short Ram Intake with AMSOIL cone filter. It cost basically half of what the V2 does. I guarantee you the v2 is not twice as good or any better sounding than my sri. AEM and AMSOIL ftw. Btw, I recommend using t bolt clamps on the intake tubes to prevent the cheap ones from cutting into them, The little holes littlerally can cut through the rubber. Also the t bolt clamps seal much better. YOu can get brand new AEM short rams shipped for $156.00 (blue,red,or chrome)

You can get an ebay SRI for like $30. They'll give you the same lack of change in hp. Use the $125 you saved and buy an AEM decal.

or just get another plastic protector for your cai. I have a cold air and 'm about to search for one of those. (or a bypass) both of those options will be cheaper than a new intake. And btw from the little i've heard about intakes is they arent much gain if any over stock and the v2 i have heard you are basically paying for the sound of the intake not the performance

[QUOTE=KraserK;3143199]Plastic protector? Why? [QUOTE]
To protect from water. That is the reason he is switching intakes.

[QUOTE=KraserK;3143199]Wrong/Fail [QUOTE]
How is a bypass or plastic protector for a intake he already has not cheaper than buying a AEM V2 intake? The V2's are way overpriced for what they are. Unless you are only about sound and looks like so many people are nowadays. But most of those people are on the civic forum.

So fix it instead of making another post. The end tag is the problem. It should look like [ / quote ] but without the spaces.

And don't feel too bad. Kraser fuct up his quotes as well.

Your special way simply removed the names of who you are quoting. Not exactly helpful. Use the green + sign at the bottom right of each post. It doesn't get easier than that.

If some one has said multiple quotes in one post the green + sign doesn't help it just quotes the whole text that the person/user has typed. Quoting each quote is time consuming and if you don't know whose quote it is find out/read and remember. But then again you are a busy man Kronn answering peoples posts it is sort of a daily job for you and it can be hard to follow it. Next time I will think about it but don't count on me doing it . I am lazy very very lazy and stubborn.
