Dont worry at all about the dimming and ac. Its only at idle, and I dont know if you know it or not, but your lights and ac dim at idle stock anyways... Its just a small fraction more, not much though.

If you research on this topic, you will see what the real pro's and con's are for this mod. First off you engine doesn't need to work as hard to create power, that is lost from you a/c power steering and..I believe the other pulley goes on your water pump...correct me if I am wrong..it's been a while. Since the rev's of the pulleys are less to create the same effect..yes you will get power, but yes you will loose electrical power also. If you have a system..forget the pulleys, you will kill your alternator..trust me, I have 10 friends that have done this mode and 5 of them have system in their cars and 5 of them have had the alternator replace with a high output one. Also if you don't have any other mods then you will acually feel a loss...when you have the a/c on, because you created more power, but are robbing the elec. and the alternator can't keep up.

I don't feel any difference, but then again I didn't feel a difference when I installed my VAFC (shaved .5 seconds from my quarter mile) so my butt dyno is not very accurate.

As far as side effects, when your car is at idle, all light in your car dim, and the fan on the climate control slows a bit, but as soon as you tap the gas everything is normal. i don't have an aftermarket stereo system, so it doesn't bother me. Even if you did, I think as long as you have ample sized capacitors, you should be fine. I will take it to the track to see what gains I have got.

Oh, and I don't notice any difference in feel with my power steering

VFAC

Did you have your VFAC dyno tuned when you got it. It's interesting to see that it took .5 second off.
