AEM Pulley Kit

What pulleys are changed with the AEM pulley kit, I’m getting my timing belt changed and was thinking of putting them in at the same time if I can save on the labor cost of installation by doing it at the same time, anybody know?…..thanx

Yes thats pretty much it....But honestly...ask anyone and they will say they didnt see any difference in steering. the only difference is in lights dimming when you at idle thats all.

I have not experienced lights dimming or less power steering on my AEM pullies. The only difference I felt was a smoother, faster revving engine, with a low end torque gain Good enough? And the AEM pulley kit has nothing to do with the timing belt, unless you get AEM cam gears. AEM pullies are highly recommended mods. Pulley kit has power steering and alternator pulleys and belts.

my lights dim too, you might save a bit with the t-belt cause the other belts will be removed, one less thing they can charge you for, you will still pay for the swap of the pullies though.

But can you really feel them ??
Do they really make you gain low end torque ??
Are they worth the money ??
Should I get a set for my 5th gen Lude ??

So after I/H/E and pulleys, a 5th gen should be pretty quick then huh ? And I plan on getting some of those pulleys, but I want to get a header and exhaust first, or should I go ahead and get the pulleys ??

The AEM pulleys will definately gain you power, but the gain in low end torque is a myth in my book. Here is the dyno plot I have from when my pullies were installed, no power gains until VTEC crossover...

Still worth the money though, a great mod for free horsepower

I actually gained up to 9hp in some parts of the rpm range, but gained 7hp at peak power. Gains could be even higher with a crank pulley installed, but there's too much controversy over whether or not it's good for the motor...
