I'm trying to get my AC system working as it's been 90+ over the last two days. While looking into diagnosing, I found two things that are kinda weird...

First: there is a small bolt on top of the compressor if you're looking down at it from the front of the engine. That bolt attaches to a single wire. This wire broke. Does this wire go to a power or a ground?

Second: again, looking down at the compressor from the front of the vehicle, there looks like a solenoid or switch that screws into the left side of the compressor. The switch/solenoid is the type like the AC pressure switch (located by the drier/receiver) I can't make out if there is supposed to be any kind of connection going to that switch/solenoid. If there is, where is it going to?

I looked in the Helms but it's useless if you don't have the right wires where they need to be.
