ac compressor problem - Honda Prelude Forum

i got a 97 lude and i just finished putting everything together and the only problem i got is the a/c compressor. when i start the car everything is good but after about 5-10 seconds the compressor makes a loud screeching sound coming from it... wen i took the belt off it makes a little bit of noise when spinning it... i was just wondering if anyone knows whats making the noise or if this happened to anyone

Does your AC blow cold despite the noise? If so I would say it's the bearing.
